Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Samsung Started pushing the Android Marshmallow 6.0 Updates on Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 in Australia. The Size of the Update file is around 1.1 GB which include the Android 6.0 OS and fixes some minute bugs on your device.

The changelog after the update include the Following

  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • Freater contol over app permissions
  • Redeisgned App Drawer
  • Enhanced battery life with the help of Doze Mode
  • High security with the available fingerprint
  • If you own the device and didn’t get the update notification then you can check manually by opening the settings and heading over to the About Device section. In the new window, you need to tap on Software Update and further click on Update Now. The device checks for updates and window about the further upgrade appears on the screen.

    Settings —> About Phone —> System Updates —> Update Now

    Note:
    During the time of installation make sure that your device is charged about 30-40% as installing the new OS takes long time.
