How to factory reset your samsung Galaxy S7

Samsung has recently launched a smartphone i.e., Samsung Galaxy S7 Priced at Rs. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB as its internal storage. If you are using this smartphone and will to switch to any other smartphone launched in market, then always remember to factory reset your device. Before you give the device for others to use. There are two ways in which you can factory reset your smartphone i.e., soft reset and hard reset.

Soft Reset

This is the normal reset or restarting of the smartphone where you need to switch off your device and boot it in case you get stuck while using your handset.

Hard Reset

Step 1: Open the settings and tap on security.

Step 2: Now tap on backup & Reset in the settings window.

Step 3: In the new window, tap on factory data reset.

Step 4: Further, click on the reset phone button which is preset at the bottom of the screen in the new window.

Step 5: A final confirmation & warning is displayed on the screen. Now tap on erase everything.

The device restarts and the data is erased on your smartphone and reboots as if you are booting the device for the first time.

Note:

  • Before you factory reset your smartphone make sure that you have created the backup of the data available on the device as factory resetting is an ir reversible process and the data once deleted cannot be retrived back.
  • The battery on your device must be charged to atleats 30% as it takes around 10-15 minutes sometime to reset your smartphone due to the content available on your device
