How to Check Your Battery Health Percentage on iOS 26
Checking your battery health in iOS 26 is similar to previous versions, but there are some slight menu differences depending on which iPhone model you have.
How to Check Your Battery Health Percentage on iOS 26
Here is exactly where to find it:
📱 For iPhone 15, 16, and 17 Models
Apple has simplified the menu for newer devices to put all health data in one spot.
-
Open the Settings app.
-
Tap on Battery.
-
Tap on Battery Health.
-
Here you will see your Maximum Capacity percentage.
-
You can also see your Cycle Count (how many full charges your battery has had).
-
📱 For iPhone 14 and Older Models
On these devices, the health information is still bundled with your charging settings.
-
Open the Settings app.
-
Tap on Battery.
-
Tap on Battery Health & Charging.
-
The Maximum Capacity will be listed at the top.
-
Understanding the Numbers
-
100% – 90%: Your battery is in excellent condition.
-
89% – 80%: Normal aging. You might notice a slight dip in daily life, but performance should remain normal.
-
Below 80%: Apple considers the battery “Degraded.” You will likely see a “Service” message, and this is usually when users experience significant drain or unexpected shutdowns.
New in iOS 26: Battery “Insights”
If you are on the Battery screen, look for the new Weekly Usage chart. iOS 26 now highlights apps that are “Outliers” in orange. If an app is draining more battery than it usually does on a typical Tuesday, for example, the system will flag it specifically so you can force-close it or check for an update.
