TRAI  aka Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has set up a new framework for DTH using operators across the country. Now, the DTH users are allowed to choose the channels which they watch regularly instead of complete pack. This phenomenon would be reducing the monthly rental of the channels.

• Go to your DTH operators official website
• The website will show off the TRAI’s new rules or it will give a pop-up. Click on that to proceed further.
• Log-in using your credentials or your registered mobile number
• Once you are logged, select the channels you want to watch and make the payment

DTH services stopped working?

You might have already seen the advertisement of the prices of the channel plans on your network operators. Like, if you choose the Sony Channels it might cost you just Rs 30 and hence reduces the cost of the annual pack. However, there is a small glitch in this version, you need to either select 100 SD Channels or 50 HD channels. Doing this might either increase or reduce the monthly rental depending on the channels you choose.

The deadline of selection of the channels is February 1. If you have not selected the channels, the operator might charge you on dialy basis per channel or your DTH connection might be interrupted. So, quickly visit the respective websites of your DTH operators and choose the plan. You can also call the customer service support of your operators and ask them to activate the respective channel plans as well.
