NSP Scholarship (National Scholarship Portal)

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is an initiative by the Government of India under the Digital India Mission. It acts as a single-window platform for students to apply for various central, state, and AICTE/UGC-funded scholarships.

Purpose

The main aim is to ensure:

• Financial assistance for economically weaker students

• Transparency in scholarship disbursement

• Reduction of fraudulent applications

• Centralised and easy application process

Who Can Apply

The NSP hosts many schemes, but major categories include:

• Pre-Matric (Class 1–10)

• Post-Matric (Class 11–12, ITI, Diploma)

• Merit-based scholarships for UG/PG students

• Scholarships for minority students

• Scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Disabled students

• Scholarships for professional courses (engineering, medicine, management, law etc.)
