Xiaomi has launched a new device Mi A1 Android One smartphone in India priced at Rs 14999. The tagline of the product states that it is “Created by Xiaomi, powered by Google”. Earlier Google has partnered with Micormaxx and Spice and launched their Android One Smartphone which was a failure from their end. Now Google has partnered with Xiaomi and entered the market again with the launch of Mi A1 smartphone which is the Mi 5X launched in China. The only difference between Mi 5X and Mi A1 is ‘Stock Android and MIUI”.
Xiaomi Mi A1 has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels as its resolution and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. It is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby. The device comes with a hybrid SIM card slot and Nano SIM card support. MI A1 comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box and will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo Soon.
Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 and 4GB RAM. The device comes with 64 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 128 GB using an external micro SD card. The design of the device is pretty good and comes with a fingerprint sensor mounted on back.
It comes with dual 13 MP rear camera with 26mm f/2.2 and 50mm f/2.6 lens with dual tone LED Flash and 2X Optical Zoom. The secondary camera on the device is of 5MP and record 1080p videos. Accelerometer, gyro, Proximity and Compass are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device. The device comes in three different colors Black, Gold and Rose Gold. It is powered by a 3080 mAh Li-Ion battery and comes with quick charge support as the device comes with USB Type C connectivity on it. The device is available on Mi.com and Flipkart Store.
