SHARE YOUR MEMORIES ON THEATRE SCREEN

INTORDUCTION

The service behind cheers.buzz is provided by Qube Cinema Technologies Private Limited (and/or its affiliates). Their Terms of Service describe the “Website” as the domain , and their “Services” as those provided via that website (and/or associated app) to users, which include enabling “booking of greetings and other added services” in a network of theatres.

Registration & account

  • To use the Services you must register (provide mobile number or email, name, other PII)

  • You must be at least 18 years old to register

  • You are responsible for your credentials and for all activity that happens via your account.

Placing an “Order”

  • An Order is placed to publish your greeting-wishes in the network of theatres the service works with.

  • The user must preview/verify their content (quality, quantity, fit) before final submission. Order confirmation is sent via email and/or SMS.

  • Once placed, Orders cannot be cancelled, postponed or refunded by the user (unless the movie is cancelled in which case their remedy is a refund of the payment method).

Content & user responsibility

  • Users are entirely responsible for the content they upload (images/audio/graphics). The service reserves the right to reject/amend content it deems unsuitable.

  • Content must comply with legal and service-rules: no unlawful, abusive, harassing/hate, infringing content, no advertising/solicitations/chain letters, no personal contact info of third parties, no under-18 exploitation.

Geography & applicability

  • The Terms explicitly state the website is directed at people residing in India, and that access from outside India is at the user’s own risk.

  • The governing law is Indian law; the courts in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) have exclusive jurisdiction.

Content ownership & usage rights

  • The website and all associated content (design, code, audio-visuals, etc) are owned by Qube and/or its affiliates. Users are granted a limited license to view and use the Site Service under the Terms.

  • When a user submits User Content (their greetings), they retain their ownership of that content but grant the service a broad worldwide license (non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty‐free) to use, host, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, archive, communicate/display their content.

Liability, warranties, dispute resolution

  • The website is provided “as is” and “as available”. The service disclaims all express and implied warranties

  • They limit liability: they are not responsible for, among other things, bugs, errors, viruses, third-party acts, lost tickets, failure of a venue to honor a ticket.

  • Disputes are governed by Indian law; user agrees courts in Chennai have jurisdiction.

Value proposition & potential uses

From the description, the service offers a unique way to celebrate occasions by placing personal messages/greetings in a theatrical/large-screen environment. Some of the benefits and use‐cases:

  • Memorable greetings: For birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements—showing your greeting in a cinema gives a “big moment” feel.

  • Mass audience reach: If you choose a theatre with many viewers, it could amplify your message.

  • Novelty factor: It’s a more unusual greeting format compared to SMS/WhatsApp/social media posts.

  • Ease of ordering: The online interface lets you upload/create content, preview, and place the order.

DOWNLOAD

  • Integration with theatre networks: It offers placement during intermission slots of films, which can be timed to match your celebration.

For example, a user might choose to upload a short audio‐visual slide wishing a friend, and have it displayed before the start or during the intermission of a popular movie in a partner theatre—thus combining “celebration message” + “experience”.

Limitations, caveats & things to watch

While the service has interesting potential, there are important considerations and risks:

Non-refundable once placed

The Terms state that once an Order is placed it cannot be cancelled, postponed or refunded by the user, unless the movie is cancelled. Hence you must be very sure about your timing, content, and venue before placing the order.

Content compliance & risk

Since you are responsible for the uploaded content and they grant the service broad rights, any mistake or unauthorized content could incur legal liability. For example: if you use copyrighted audio or images without permission, or include personal contact info of third parties without consent. The Terms emphasise your indemnification obligation.

  • Since the website is directed at users in India, and governing law is Indian, if you are outside India you may face limitations.

  • The service depends on partner theatres—if the theatre cancels or changes movie schedule, the user’s result might be impacted.

  • Even if your message is displayed, the actual audience size, timing, and prominence may vary

Limited transparency in pricing/terms

From the publicly-available Terms we don’t have full detail of how pricing is determined. As a user you’ll want to clarify: what film the message will run before/after, which screen, how long, what format you must supply, what cost, what timeline for upload/approval.

User’s perspective: step-by-step what you’d do

  1. Register on (provide name, mobile ,email, other details  confirm you’re 18+).

  2. Verify your account via mobile number or email.

  3. Prepare your greeting: choose visuals, audio, slide design, message text, ensure it meets required specs

  4. Preview the greeting in the system

  5. Choose the theatre (from the network), film, showtime/intermission slot, date that you want your message displayed. Clarify cost, slot details.

  6. Submit your Order: upload the content, pay the fee, receive confirmation via email/SMS.

  7. Wait for display: on the specified film/show in the specified theatre your greeting runs during the intermission  according to the order.

  8. Post-event: You may take photos/videos of your greeting in the theatre, share the experience, etc.

  9. Afterwards: If you have complaints (e.g., message didn’t run) you may contact customer support and escalate  The Terms provide for first acknowledgement within 24 hours and response within 5 working days for escalated issues.

User tips

  • Plan your slot carefully: Choose the theatre and film showtime where your target person actually is going to be present; preferably the same show they attend.

  • Confirm all slot details: Which theatre  which film, which time, which intermission slot. Ask for a confirmation of visibility.

  • Design high-quality content: Make sure your greeting has good resolution, file size within limits, clear audio, format specification . Use preview.

  • Check cost vs audience: Ask how many viewers are expected in that show, how long your greeting will run, what position .

  • Get screenshot/video of display: After the show run, take a photo or video to share; this also serves as proof in case of disputes.

  • Read the Terms carefully: Especially around refunds, cancellations, content rights, how you can escalate issues.

  • Protect copyright: If you use music/background audio make sure you have rights .

  • Make extra backup versions: Upload a safer fallback version of your greeting in case technical issues arise.

  • Time your message for the intended audience: If you want to surprise someone, make sure they are present for that show.

Cheers.buzz offers an interesting, experience-oriented service for personal greetings to be displayed in cinemas via a network of partner theatres. It stands out by offering a “big screen” venue for your message, positioning it as a memorable celebratory tool. On the flip side, because of the nature of the service (theatre scheduling, content upload, user responsibility, no cancellation), it’s vital for users to plan carefully, verify details, and accept the associated risks.
